

Roydon Marina Village are proud to announce that the Planning Application for the Marina has now been approved with full planning permission being granted. The new Marina which will have moorings to cater for 315 narrow/leisure boats, and associated facilities on and adjacent to the lake which will be ready to take new boats from Spring/Summer 2010. The proposed Marina would be served via a new lock that would connect it to the River Stort Navigation, giving access to the River Lee.
The Marina will comprise 39 x 12m moorings,
69 x 15m moorings, 160 x 18m moorings, and
50 x 21 to 25 m moorings. Adjacent to the lake
would be a single storey boat maintenance
building, a facilities building comprising
Chandlery, shop and WC/shower facilities. A
total of 77 new parking spaces would also be
provided.
The Marina proposals will enhance the leisure
facilities available on the Estate. It will improve
the visual amenity on the site and create
numerous new permanent and part time
employment.

As a result of the above the nature of the leisure
facilities available at Roydon Marina Village will be
greatly enhanced and provide the locality with
a stunning new facility providing new
managed moorings which are in great demand.
